Quick Start #02

 

1. Display the current exchange rate between two currencies

=Q("USDEUR")

 

 

 

Comments: CURRENCY function available to the Micro Edition provides a subset of functionality of the QUOTE or Q function. CURRENCY function accepts the currency pair specified as FromCurrency, ToCurrency while the QUOTE function accepts the currency pair in one word.

 

2. Display the historical exchange rate between two currencies

=Q("USDEUR", "C","2013-01-01","2013-01-01")

 

 

Comments: "C" stands for Closing price. The full list of possible attributes is described here.

 

3. Display the time series of exchange rates between two currencies

=Q("USDEUR", ,"2013-01-01","2014-01-01")

 

 

Comments: Omitted fields parameter result in the display of the default fields only.

 

4. Display the current price of a stock

=Q("MSFT")

5. Display the historical close price of a stock

7. Display the live price of a stock, live updated every 1 second

8. Look up a Symbol for a Security

On the Ribbon, click on the Search Icon, and type in the keyword.
