VJoin

 

Syntax: VJoin(InputRange, RowSeparator, AutoFormat)

 

Equivalent Function Names: N/A

 

Purpose: Function used to concatenate a range of cells into a single cell per column ("vertical join"). 

 

Parameters: 
 

1.InputRange - Cells to be concatenated - a number of columns and any number of rows
 

2.RowSeparator - The separator of the cells in the same row (Optional)
 

3.AutoFormat - an optional flag signifying if the result should be automatically converted to a range and if the result should be automatically formatted as Excel Data Types
 

 

Examples:

1. Concatenate a number of cells in the same row

=VJOIN(D1:D2)

 

2. Concatenate a number of cells in a number of rows

=VJOIN(A1:D2,", ")

 

 

3. Concatenate a number of cells in a number of rows

=VJOIN(HJOIN(A1:D2))
