Syntax: OPTIONSCHAINCALLS(Ticker, Fields, AutoFormat)

 

Equivalent Function Names: OCC

 

Purpose: The function displays the list of all calls and the associated current market data for a chain of a ticker, e.g. MSFT

 

Parameters: 
 

1.Ticker is the Reuters/Yahoo ticker.
 

2.Field may be optional for a given operation:

1. Latest Price: "LAST_TRADE_PRICE" 

2. Other supported fields:

3.AutoFormat - an optional flag signifying if the result should be automatically converted to a range and if the result should be automatically formatted as Excel Data Types
 

NOTE: The source of the data for this function is Google which does not provide any data for some symbol, while Yahoo's Options data accessible via OPTION price does provide it!

 

Examples:

1. Display all calls and current option data for a given stock ticker

=OCC("MSFT","?") displays all the list of all calls and available current data.

 

 

2. Display all calls tickers and current prices for a given stock ticker

=OCC("MSFT","?") displays all the list of all calls and available current data.

 

3. Display selected option data for a given stock ticker's call options chain - one field

=OCC("MSFT","TICKER") displays the tickers of all calls for MSFT.

 

 

4. Display selected option data for a given stock ticker's call options chain - multiple fields - horizontally

=OCC("MSFT",A1:A2) displays the tickers and prices of all calls for MSFT.

 

 

 

5. Display selected option data for a given stock ticker's call options chain - multiple fields - vertically

=OCC("MSFT",A1:B1) displays the tickers and bids of all calls for MSFT.
