Option

 

Syntax: OPTION(Ticker, Fields, AutoFormat)

 

Equivalent Function Names: O

 

Purpose: The function displays the current market data for a Yahoo! Options ticker, e.g. MSFT130720C00023000

 

Parameters: 
 

1.Ticker is the ticker.
 

2.Field may be optional for a given operation:

1. Latest Price: "LAST_TRADE_PRICE" 

2. Other supported fields:

3.AutoFormat - an optional flag signifying if the result should be automatically converted to a range and if the result should be automatically formatted as Excel Data Types
 

 

Examples:

1. Display current option price for a given option

=O("MSFT140103C00026000") displays the price

 

 

2. Display all current option data for a given option

=O("MSFT140103C00026000", "?") displays the price

 

 

3. Display selected current option data for a given option in a row format

=O("MSFT140103C00026000", E1:F1) displays selected data.

 

 

 

4. Display selected current option data for a given option in a column format

=O("MSFT140103C00026000", E1:E2) displays selected data.
